SEEKING
Band to Join, Vocalist, Rhythm Guitar, Lead Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, Bass Guitar, Violin, Keyboard, Piano, Flute, Banjo, Mandolin, Fiddle, Steel guitar, Upright bass.ABOUT
I've played drums on and off for 30 years, made some regional alt/rock/punk records and played shows heavily in my 20s-30s. We played loud and fast...but those days are gone. I'm not trying to re-live them.
These days I've got kids and a laid back job and looking to find some like minded people to play with at least once a week. I'm not looking for ego, or money, or a party. I'm looking for some people who love music and want to make something original that feels good. Something that feels modern and mature without being boring or a classic rock ripoff.
If you play anything that sounds like Metal, Punk or Hard Rock, you should probably pass me by...When it comes to volume and speed, I'm over it.

Influences
Honestly I don't expect to find anyone who likes what I like...because I never have, but here's a list of the type of stuff I'd like to play:
The War on Drugs, Lord Huron, Future Islands, Phosphorescent, Counting Crows, Gregory Alan Isakov, Slowdive, Cigarettes after Sex, The National, The Killers, Kurt Vile, The Waterboys, Frank Turner, etc.
But I'm also into older stuff: Otis Redding, Post-Pet Sounds Beach Boys, Dick Dale, Latin and Lounge stuff from the 50s, Serge Gainsbourg, etc etc...
