    A MUSICAL CELEBRATION OF PSALM 42 ---

    I wrote this song in the mid-‘70s. The image of a deer, the Hart of the Psalm, running through the woods, splashing through a tumbling brook attracted me. To capture that image sonically I penned the descending guitar chord motif to suggest falling / rushing water. I added a rotating speaker effect on one guitar to further emphasize the idea of swirling living waters. I often performed this as an acoustic duo. This is the first time the song has been performed with parts beyond two acoustic guitars. Chris Childress -- Drums.
