”Rude Zombie” is local to Virginia Beach, and have been playing for a little over a year and half. Founded in 2008 by singer Jessica Abbott and bassist Matthew Cheatham, they set out to create music like no other found in the Ska genera.
By Aug. 2008 Rude Zombie had played it's first show and had gained it's first group of consistant fans.
In the summer of 2009 Rude Zombie did their first tour "Hate the Living, Love the Ska Tour.Reaching all the way up the way to Connecticut.
Then in October 2009, in the spirt of Halloween the band traveled Virginia playing local Haunted Houses for the "Living Dead Tour." Reaching out to 4 local charities.
The band also played "The Ska is Dead Tour" featuring acts such as; Mustard Plug and The Toasters.
They have been featured in 5 magazines/papers. “Oi Magazine”; “Virginia Pilot”; “Herndon Connection Newspaper”; “DIY MAG.” and “Alt Daily Magazine”
Were also voted “Skye Energy Drinks Band of the Month”!
And also won the “Norfu*kers Battle of the Punk and Ska Bands ” and then came in 2nd place in the finals “Norfu*kers Battle of the Genera’s!”
