ABOUT

Ryan Bair doesn’t recall the first time ever picking up a pair of drumsticks. His father was the drummer in the church worship band for years throughout his childhood. His two older brothers were also drummers in the Dover High School Band. So naturally, he began playing the drums at a young age. Ryan began taking private lessons from in the fourth grade. A year later he joined the Dover Band program where he learned from percussion instructor, Joan Wenzel. While in high school, Ryan performed with the DHS Marching Tornadoes, the DHS Symphonic Band, the DHS Symphonic Orchestra, and the DHS Jazz Band. During his senior year, he was chosen for the ECOL Honors Band and also received the Louis Armstrong Jazz award. Also at this time, he was also leading a rock group and taking private lessons from Bobby Stocker. After graduating high school in 2007, Ryan attended the “Summer Shot” program at Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California. After returning to Ohio, he studied in Cleveland, Ohio with Ray Porello Jr. who was previously in the house band at Caesars Palace and Sammy Davis Jr.'s personal drummer in the 1970's. He has performed with various groups including Hard Drive, the Wil Rockwell Band, Three’s Company, Waterband, and Electric Mud. Ryan is currently living near Nashville, Tennessee pursuing music.
