ABOUT

I am a very eclectic musician who enjoy (almost) all forms of music. I have played prog rock/metal to jazz to R&B to gospel and everything in between. I am currently recording with a local folk artist writing some progfolk jazz sounding stuff. I am also a producer (Cubase 8.5) and am proficient at drum programming (prefer Superior Drummer). I have pro equipment (Carvin, Fender J Deluxe, MarkBass, MTD), and am looking to do some jamming with other creatives and just see what emerges, do some writing, recording and playing out. I have been doing this a long time so I am pretty good at it. At the very least looking to meet other musicians around the Northwest who are passionate about their art.

Influences

Just a few in order of when they influenced me. Earliest probably Queen, Steely Dan, Bad Company, Edgar Winter, Styx, Kansas, Yes, Boston, enter the 80s with heavy reggae influence, then into new wave stuff like Tears for Fears, Duran Duran and the like ... then mid 80s hit and it was all Metallica, Megadeth, Fates Warning (Awaken the guardian), Metal Church, Pantera, etc. Skip to today ... A lot of jazz stuff, mostly contemporary, some prog metal like Nightwish, Delain, Lacuna Coil, Symphony X, Kamelot, Amberian Dawn, Edenbridge, Within, Jeff Loomis, Temptation, The Birthday Massacre, Amaranthe, etc. Between years were mostly Post Grunge stuff like Breaking Benjamin, In This Moment, Evanescence, etc. Makes for some interesting bass. LOL
