BMD PRODUCTIONS SETS OFF A SIZZLIN SUMMER SERIES OF THE ART OF THE SPOKEN WORD
BMD Productions’ The Art of the Spoken Word, returns August 21, 2005 to CITYOGA Downtown to kick-off its summer into fall sizzling series of poetry and live performances.
The Art of the Spoken Word live performance and open mic set is seeking a host and/or hostess, poets and performers to present live on Sundays throughout this upcoming semester. Auditions will be held at CITYOGA Downtown located at 936 Indiana Ave. on Friday July 22 from 4pm-7pm and Saturday July 23, 2005, from 12 pm to 3 pm.
If you are a spoken word poet (by that we mean that you have the skills to perform your work), yogi, singer, actor, musician, band, photographer, visual artist, playwright, an actor or you are someone who would appreciate volunteering to assist with promotional event planning projects please contact BMD Productions at 317/329-3552 or 423-1730 for consideration in our upcoming fall line up. Only the serious need apply!
The Art of the Spoken Word was created as a vehicle to market and showcase local talent. We want to hear from you particularly if you are a student or are apart of any student organization on a campus here in Indianapolis. The art of the Spoken Word continues to spread its electric energy at various venues throughout the city and has received citywide acclaim including the coveted Best New Spoken Word Venue in the NUVO’s Best Of edition in 2003.
