Been playing music most of my life, but haven't been in a band for a very long time. I am mostly self-taught and have a unique style. My biggest weakness is that I don't record what I play and I need more motivation to do more with my music. I love free-improvisation and can play indefinitely, coming up with new ideas, progressions, solos, etc. I get frustrated with the technology and the challenge of taking things from idea to recorded material.
My goal here would be to find another individual with a similar mindset who could get together on a regular basis, help me get things recorded and get/keep me on a more productive path.
Ideally, I'd love to find someone who would like mentoring and has a better grasp of the technology than I do who I could help with their playing and composing in return for helping me get things done.

Influences
Lots of '70's prog rock bands, first and foremost is Gentle Giant. ELP, early Genesis, Yes, King Crimson, PFM, some Dream Theater, etc. More currently, I like Project RLN, Leslie Johnson, MMW. I am also heavily influenced by many jazz musicians- Chick Corea, Oscar Peterson, Bill Evans, etc. Any great keyboardist gets my attention!

EQUIPMENT
I recently pared down my equipment to a Korg Kronos and an old Motif rack mount module. I have a couple of old synth modules I seldom use. I have a decent computer running Sonar Professional. I also have an Akai DPS24 digital recorder.
