I'm a guitarist, songwriter looking to put together a Soul/Rock band. More Soul than Rock. I'm trying to bring some dark textures to Soul music. I have a lot of pretty but dark soul music. I'm looking for other musicians, songwriter and especially a vocalist.

This is what I'm lookin for:
These are the sort of things I look for in a vocalist.
1. Sense of purpose; need to sing because he/she got something to say
2. original
3. solid voice, strong harmonies
4. diverse taste. Soul, Hip-Hop, Jazz influences a must. Rock, Blues, Roots Reggae also would be nice.

The categories of music listed here are too narrow for us. We’re what we classify as a ghetto Rock band. We’ve twisted up Rock with Hip-Hop & Soul. We listen to anything and everything. Hendrix, Old Van Halen, Zepplin, Alice In Chains, Old U-2, Soundgarden, Lightning Hopkins, Muddy Waters, T-Model Ford, Bartok, Mahler, Neo Soul, Techno, House, International, Classical, Hindi, Red Man, Method Man, Young Buck, Wu Tang, Miles, Mingus, Marley, Fela. Influences are too many to list here.
