ABOUT

Howdy! My name's Eric and I am a 46-year old Guitar Player from Pomona, NY (Rockland County) I'd most recently BEEN in a '90s Alternative cover band for the last ≈7 years however we've recently mutually decided to go separate ways (but remain FRIENDS) due to some evolving collaborative and commitment differences. So, I'm back out there looking for my NEXT '90s Alternative cover band playing really ANYthing you'd hear on Lithium :)

I've played guitar since I'm 13 and feel that I am definitely at least slightly ABOVE-average. Also a decent singer (COULD sing lead but I like to concentrate on the guitar playing, but I DO harmonize well). Biggest/Top-3 influences probably include for SURE John Frusciante (RHCP), Mike McCready/Stone Gossard (Pearl Jam) and Dave Navarro (Jane's Addiction)

Looking for Moderately Committed/Committed like-minded individuals who maybe want to get together ≈once a week, at a public studio, someone's basement/garage, etc. for a couple of hours or so, hang out and jam out on a bunch of those popular/high-energy 90s tunes that EVERYBODY knows and loves (I already know how to play a LOT of these… WELL), gig out locally at some bars/venues every couple of/few months and most importantly have FUN doing it ALL. Don’t get me wrong, of course it will require a CERTAIN amount of commitment (because I don't want to SUCK) but understand we probably all HAVE full-time jobs, families, etc. so not looking for THIS to ALso become "work", if that makes sense. I can't speak for ALL but I mySELF already HAVE a pretty demanding job, family, and a bunch of OTHER commitments, so learning a ton of obscure songs (that the "bar crowd" probably won’t even be into ANYway). rehearsing 3+x/week and gigging EVERY Saturday is going to be HIGHLY unlikely for ME.

Consider myself to be pretty happy-go-lucky most times, easy to get along with and fun to be around so no HUGE egos PLEASE.

EQUIPMENT

If you REALLY care to know (hahaha), I have a couple of Fender Stratocasters, PRSs and Ibanezes, all with varying pickup configurations. My “go-to”s are probably my classic American Fender Stratocaster (American Standard, 3-color Sunburst), modeled after John Frusciante’s and my Dave Navarro PRS. I also get a lot of use out of my MIM Lake Placid Blue Strat (with bridge Humbucker; I call it my "Green Day Strat") for the “punkier” stuff. I will NOT be bringing MORE than 2/3 guitars to a gig, don’t worry, hahahahahahahahaha.

Current AMP I have is a 100-watt Marshall solid-state/transistor; It's PLENTY loud to play at a bar or even a larger venue with an in-house sound system when mic'd; Never had an issue. That SAID, I REALLY want a 100W Marshall JCM 900 Hi Gain Dual Reverb TUBE amp, and and I've PROMISED myself, that as SOON as I’m in a band again, I'm GETTING one! ;)

Effects I've been using SINCE the 90s are pretty much your standard BOSS pedals ("stomp-boxes") like Distortion, Chorus, etc. I have other pedals that I sometimes use as well (Delay, Flange, Auto-Wah, etc.) but I usually don't like to "overdue it". I’m not AGAINST the digital multi-effects processors BUT what I have works just FINE AND SOUNDS “90s Alternative”- PERfect!
