Bees Deluxe play a Mother's Day Brunch blues show @ The Press Room
77 Daniel St, Portsmouth, NH 03801
Bees Deluxe play the Tree House Brewery 129 Sturbridge Rd, Charlton, MA 01507
Bees Deluxe, the electrifying British/American blues band, takes center stage at the Boston City Winery Haymarket Lounge on Saturday, November 18th. The band will play songs from their latest all-orignal album “Hallucinate,” and some of their favorite rearranged classic blues& jazz tunes that showcase the band’s genre-bending musicality.
Led by British guitarist, Conrad Warre, the band has wowed audiences from Maine to Miami and played with blues legends including: Ronnie Earl, Joanne Shaw Taylor, Matt Schofield, Mike Zito, Walter Trout and Roomful of Blues. Their music blurs the lines between blues, jazz, funk and psychedelia—paying homage to and improvising on tunes by artists like Albert Collins, Robert Cray, Freddie King and Billie Holiday. Their unique nod to tradition and fiery innovation makes Bees Deluxe stand apart from other less daring bands.
Blues Blast Magazine said "...what might happen if Freddie King took a lot of acid then wrote a song with Pat Metheny and asked a strung-out Stevie Ray Vaughan to take a solo," Bees Deluxe ensures an extraordinary musical journey that transcends traditional blues.
Joining Warre on stage are: Carol Band on keys and harp, Adam Sankowski on bass and Paul Giovine on drums and percussion. Each musician brings their own identity and musical background to the amalgam that they call “acid blues.”
Bees Deluxe's exude an infectious enthusiasm at every show. Their ability to push the limits of the blues while painting outside the lines of convention and deliver impeccable musicality, originality, and a touch of madness, makes for an unforgettable night of music.
Doors open at 6pm. Music starts at 7:30pm. Boston City Winery, Haymarket Lounge, 80 Beverly Street, Boston. This show will sell out. Reserving your tickets at http://bit.ly/Bees_BostonCityWineryMay25

The Matt Swanton Band has been creating waves in the New England blues scene, rocking bars and music venues throughout Massachusetts, southern New Hampshire, and Rhode Island. Their undeniable talent and dedication to their craft led them to be chosen by the esteemed Boston Blues Society to represent Massachusetts in the highly anticipated 2023 International Blues Challenge, where they impressed audiences and advanced to the semi-finals.
Matt Swanton, the mastermind behind the band, found his calling at a young age. Inspired by mesmerizing performances at The Bull Run in his hometown of Shirley, MA, a 9-year-old Matt was drawn to the guitar. He spent his teenage years honing his skills, practicing in his bedroom, and immersing himself in the blues scene by participating in high school groups and jam sessions. His passion for music led him to UMass Lowell, where he earned a degree in Sound Engineering and collaborated with talented peers in various ensembles. After years of paying his dues and sharing the stage with icons like Mike Zito, Albert Castiglia, Papa Chubby, and Ronnie Earl, Matt Swanton is now ready to conquer the world with his no-frills, no-BS blues band. Be sure to catch their self-titled debut album, available online and at their electrifying shows.
Joining the lineup for the evening is the remarkable Bees Deluxe, a British/American band that has left an indelible mark on the blues scene. These seasoned musicians have had the privilege of performing alongside renowned artists such as Ronnie Earl, Joanne Shaw Taylor, Matt Schofield, Roomful of Blues, Walter Trout, and David Maxwell. Bees Deluxe infuses their music with flavors of Billie Holiday, Etta James, Albert Collins, Robert Cray, Tinsley Ellis, Freddie King, and Roomful of Blues, delivering a spicy blend of soulful sounds. Their performances have received rave reviews from coast to coast, captivating audiences from Maine to Florida and everywhere in between. With a repertoire of originals and classic covers, many played by national and international radio stations, Bees Deluxe sets the stage ablaze wherever they go. Spearheaded by British guitarist Conrad Warre and the multi-talented Carol Band on keyboards, harmonica, and vocals, this four-piece band is ready to ignite the night.
Blues Blast Magazine perfectly summed up Bees Deluxe, stating, "...what might happen if Freddie King took a lot of acid then wrote a song with Pat Metheny and asked a strung-out Stevie Ray Vaughan to take a solo."
The C Note, the South Shore's premier live music venue, sets the stage for this explosive blues extravaganza. The band is spearheaded by the dual-frontline of British guitar monster Conrad Warre, and Allyn (“Aldo”) Dorr on bass & vocals with Paul Giovine on drums & percussion who provide the metamorphic foundation of the band on stage and in the studio. The musicians each bring their unique experience to the mix. Dorr has played the blues with almost every notable area blues band, including a stint in Jamaica as a reggae artist. Giovine was discovered by the band playing rock and roll in a slew of punk rock clubs in Allston, Somerville, Cambridge and Jamaica Plain. Warre, was in a high-school band in London, with Paul Kossoff, of the band Free, and has toured Europe with the English Beat and the Joe Jackson Band. He migrated from London to New York where he became a regular performer at the legendary CBGB’s. In Boston, he assembled Bees Deluxe, to pay homage to the music he fell in love with while touring and playing legendary London clubs like the Rainbow Theatre, Ronnie Scott's, Dingwalls, The Music Machine and the Moonlight Club. The band define their genre of music as “acid blues” with a layer of modern ‘funked up’ jazz.

We know that you are devastated to have missed Bees Deluxe's sold-out concert at Boston's City Winery on May 1st. There's a reason that the venue asked us to kick-off the return of live music. And we did. With a vengeance. Even though the governor said we couldn't sing or play the harmonica.
We persevered and delivered an instrumental show that left 'em screaming for more. It was great. If you were there, you know. If you missed it, here's your chance to catch Bees Deluxe again. Because they've asked us back. And we're returning to the main stage with vocals, new material, harmonicas and all the searing guitar, ethereal keys, bodacious bass and driving drums that have made Bees Deluxe the official "Acid Blues Band of Massachusetts."
“Blues Blast Magazine says of Bees Deluxe: “what might happen if Freddie King took a lot of acid then wrote a song with Pat Metheny and asked a strung-out Stevie Ray Vaughan to take a solo”

LIVE MUSIC RETURNS. BEES DELUXE SWARM CITY WINERY.
After a year of cancelled gigs, collaborative composing, recording remotely and practicing at home, Bees Deluxe returns to the stage at Boston City Winery on Saturday, May 1st. Doors open at 6pm; music starts at 8pm.
Celebrating the band's dedication to eradicating boring blues, the socially-distanced, fully masked evening is a shot with musical surprises and sensory stimulation. The four-piece band, fronted by British guitarist and vocalist Conrad Warre promises to deliver doses of acid blues and punk jazz in the distinct style that has won Bees Deluxe fans from Maine to Miami.
"We love playing City Winery," said Warre. " We've been away for so long, that this is truly a homecoming for us and for our fans and friends."
Bees Deluxe has toured up and down the East Coast and the mid-West and has performed at festivals, fairs and in venues like: the Cleveland House of Blues, Earl's Hideaway in Florida, Freddy's in Brooklyn, Madam's Organ in Washington DC, and the Spire in Plymouth. The band's repertoire includes arresting originals as well as innovative takes on tunes by artists ranging from Albert and Freddie King, Etta James and Billie Holiday to ZZ Top and Joe Zawinul.
