I AM LOOKING FOR:

The band will be called "The D-Man Band"

The D-Man Band background:

After being in 3 bands over the last 25 years it is now time to form my own band. Having performed over 30 band gigs as a lead singer in the last 18 months, as well as Djaying over 70 gigs since 2018, I will leverage my relationships with several venues in the DFW area to create the opportunity for us to play gigs. Over time our brand and reputation will grow to perform at larger venues such as Lava Cantina, Grandscape, The Pour Shack, etc.

The D-Man Band mission and purpose:
To perform high quality, diverse cover music the audience can sing and dance to
To be entertaining, energetic and connect with the audience in an authentic and fun way
To be professional, reliable and credible with any venue we play
To place our own creative input and style on songs , some which will be a mashup or a song extension - or both

Blueprint of The D-Man Band:
The band will be modeled much the same as when David Lee Roth left Van Halen to form the Eat Em' and Smile band, key characteristics including:
* A band formed of high caliber musicians
* Clear direction and "the buck stops here" leadership by the singer
* High level of collaboration within the band, while at the same time each band member understands and respects the leader has ultimate veto power on all decisions
* A clear mission to deliver a musical experience that will blow the roof off all venues we play

Key operating principles of The D-Man Band:
We practice 1X per week
We do 1 gig per month (initial target of a 20 song setlist)
We show up to all rehearsals and gigs on time, prepared and ready to play the designated songs
We have focused, distraction free rehearsals that are productive as all members have sufficiently practiced their material on their own prior (Practice = learning music on your own; Rehearsals = playing songs as a group)
We acknowledge song quality over quantity is at the core of our foundation, i.e., less is more
We limit alcohol consumption at practices and gigs
We engage in clear and candid communication between all band members
Each member assumes the best intentions from their band counterparts
Any conflict is addressed in a timely manner
Each member seeks first to understand in their quest to be understood
We learn from our mistakes
We always strive to improve, never resting on our laurels
We have a culture of trust, mutual respect, accountability and brotherhood
We have a kick ass, incredibly fun time

My commitment to each D-Man Band Member:
To provide clear direction, expectations and constructive feedback
To ensure whatever we do as a band is aligned to our mission and purpose
To be highly organized on all details of the band's operation, including:
* Rehearsal and gig set lists
* Gig times and locations, gig fees, expectations (and to eliminate any last minute surprises, etc)
* Managing a calendar of band member availability / scheduled gigs
To assume ultimate accountability in any mistakes / failures of the band
To ensure your concerns, feedback and ideas are heard and understood
To ensure credit is shared and celebrated with ALL band members for our successes
