How do I put this the right way...

My name is John (hi John!!)...I'm 46 years old, I am addicted to Chipotle...I have a secret identity that pays the bills...and I'm far too comfortable in all of these facets to become a rock star, but damn do I LOVE pretending to be one on the weekends.

This is what I bring to the table: 30+ years of playing experience, professional work ethic, solid gear, fan-oriented focus.

This is what I'll walk away from the table if I see: Attitude, ego, domineering control, dismissiveness in any form on any level, non-communication.

This is my philosophy: Music is a part of everyone's life to some degree and if you want people to come see you play live music, you have to play music that speaks to them. The successful band I want to be part of is one that observes the crowd - listens to them, watches them, understands what gives them energy and enthusiasm and makes absolutely certain each show is crafted to maximize that affect. Anything less will be swallowed up by the hoards of dime-a-dozen cover bands.

Who plays the best version of Summer of '69??? The one that keeps your attention for the ENTIRE SHOW - not the one just stuffing a microphone in your face during the hook. I don't want to dress the part of a rock star or bask in signing a flyer - I want to entertain people and give them a break from the monotony of ordinary life.

I have but one goal in my musical career - every house is a packed house. I don't care if I'm playing a run down dive bar that holds 100 people or a state-of-the-art concert hall that holds 10,000 - I want every audience to be engaged, enthusiastic, and entertained; and if I follow the simple rule of crafting a show designed to entertain, every house WILL be packed!
