Influences
Eclectic, but here are my influences:
Post-punk such as Echo & the Bunnymen, Teardrop Explodes, early Simple Minds, Joy Division, Birthday Party, Orange Juice;
Punk, especially Wire, The Damned, Buzzcocks, Gang of Four, Suicide
Original rock and rockabilly and surf/spy twang, like Sun Records, Buddy Holly, Link Wray, Duane Eddy;
Shoegaze & Creation Records, such as Ride, My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, House of Love, Flying Saucer Attack;
also really really into Bowie, T. Rex, Rocky Music, Eno, Cluster, Neu!, and Iggy Pop.
Although I mentioned the influences above, I am interested in hearing new indie ("college radio") bands. Offhand, Girls and Crystal Stilts are "newer" bands I enjoy.
