Influences
Although I'm drawn to riff-driven guitar music I can "lean into", I often find myself in projects that play more melodic stuff. My influences are extremely varied, and include the likes of (in no particular order) Beatles, Kinks, Who, White Stripes, Led Zeppelin, Gang of Four, Clash, New York Dolls, Black Keys, Nirvana, Police, Sex Pistols, Specials, Bowie, Johnny Cash & more. I've never been much into metal, with a few exceptions that would probably be classified more as Hard Rock. Above all, I just like locking in with my bandmates and doing something that doesn't suck.
NOTE - Okay, full disclosure: I don't like Clapton. Old Creem, yes...some of it, anyway. I've also never really been an SRV fan. I realize this is blasphemy to my fellow guitaristas, but neither have ever been my jam.
