ABOUT

I play rhythm guitar, sing, and am an energetic organizer. In order to develop a goal-oriented, high-quality performing band, I am currently seeking fellow musicians and vocalists who are willing to apply time-tested organizational principles to the process of forming and sustaining a successful rock band.

The intention is to grow beyond simply playing the same old cover tunes over and over. Instead, we will focus on creating original arrangements that capture the style of the classic blues/rock music that has inspired generations of people to get up and dance.

It is more important for the long haul that we assemble a group of compatible musicians who support our shared goals and have similar enthusiasm for the type of music we are creating. That will enable us to really connect with each other while playing, as well involve those who are listening and dancing.

Influences

My musical style has been most strongly influenced by the folk and rock music of the sixties, seventies and eighties. That being said, I enjoy listening to a wide variety of melodic and rhythmic compositions, from European classical music to West African drumming.

I think I share the sentiments of Victor Hugo when he wrote, "Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent."

EQUIPMENT

I have excellent acoustic and electric guitars, various amplifiers, a modest PA system and some stage gear.
