Renton, aka Ala Hajri, is a Tunisian singer, songwriter, guitarist, producer, born in Tunis. From 2008, had a passion for home recording various music genres such as grunge and metal tracks. By 2014, Renton had influence to produce Indie and electronic music creating a sound signature that cought his attention to record and produce his first album "Surface" (2016)
Early Life:
Ala was born in 1995, in Tunis, his first interaction with music instruments came at the age of 6, in times where his uncle played keyboard for various bands. Ala was allowed to discover his passion for music by learning to play couple of his favorite songs on the keyboard (which he kept safe till 2016 to record and produce basslines on a collaboration with Ramy Zoghlemi, accumulating musical interest, gravitating toward Alt-J.
Between those times, back in 2007, Ala had no interest to play and instrument but then he earned his first "Aragona" Classic guitar that his brother worked in construction during summer time to purchase, that's where Ala earned his passion to learn how to play guitar, A year after, a quick learning capacity was apparent. In 2008, Ala studied music theory and guitar in the Conservatory Of Bardo (Tunis) pursuing his musical dreams specially when he met his first music teacher Named Achour ( Maestro of the Tunisian National Orchestra) at that time.
Studies and careers:
Ala is currently pursuing his English History and Literature in The University of Manouba and that's where he got his passion for writing poetry and lyrics. In 2013, Ala worked as a free lancer, doing mixing, sound design and recording jobs for Ads, short movies and theater
