I’m a mature (50+) drummer not at all interested in the bar scene any more, yet looking to groove and make good music with good people.
Been playing drums for over 40 years, with numerous original and cover rock bands, blues bands, marching band, bagpipe & drum bands, theater shows (Cabaret, Guys & Dolls, Chicago, Cabaret, Wizard of Oz, others), and yacht rock bands to my credit.
I have a steady day job and career - I play music for fun and personal satisfaction.
I’m not a flashy, technical-prog player. I’m a steady, grooving, musical, tasteful player. I read and write drum music and general sheet music (play a little guitar and keyboard just to work out tunes). No delusions of grandeur here - I just like to make good music with good people for other good people to enjoy. I plan to be playing drums for the rest of my life. Have pro gear and transportation - I mix and match whatever I need for the gig, including electronics (but standard acoustic drums are more musical and fun to play, IMHO).
And yes, I'm a damned good cook. It's a life passion.
