Wanted
We are starting a musical experiment to entice the senses and expand the mind. Looking for a bassist and vocalist that are willing to think outside of the box and create some good music, pulling from different areas, genres and influences.
What the members and management of this project want are as follows in their own words.
Strings
Influences range from classical (Bach) to Jazz (Al Di Meola) to Pink Floyd and Black Sabbath to all the great nineties stuff (you know what I mean, Seattle and sh*t) and Tool. Everything I listen to influences me, therefore I am very careful what I listen to.
What I want to do...write original music with open-minded people who have the ability to do most anything they want to do with their instrument(s). Stylistically, we will all need to be pretty flexible and we need to have chemistry to enable improvisational writing. I want to write, record, play select shows, repeat...until I get dead. No pressure, no drama, all love, all fun, all creative... At some point this would ideally turn into a business venture to be taken seriously and treated with the respect that people who love what they do have for their careers. However, it only gets to that point if the chemistry and music are there.
Rhythm
Influences are Tool, A Perfect Circle, Puscifer, Hurt, Filter, Slipknot, Led Zeppelin, Foo Fighters, Clutch, Pantera, Pearl Jam, AIC, Soundgarden, Anthrax, Slayer, Faith No More. Just to name a few. I grew up around everything from Motown to 80?s rock/metal, so my mind is completely open as long as it feels good.
I look for jamming and writing original music, which to me brings out each players imagination and truthful direction of how the music moves them. If there is no chemistry between the band members, there shouldn?t be a band in my opinion. Writing with a purpose is something I take very seriously, I write from the heart and the experiences I have had in my life. I look for patience and I look for perfection.
Management
Wants and needs are as follows: professionalism, artistic freedom for all members, be reliable and responsible for your actions, have and keep nice gear, last but not least be mature. You must be capable of writing and practicing on your own as well as a unit! We are all adults that have obligations outside of this so always be mindful of that.
