This band is presently a recording project for singer-songwriter Ben Sage, who is in the process of recording an album of original songs. He most especially needs a drummer/percussionist and a bass player. He is looking for a drummer/bass team if possible -- two good players who play well together already. He is looking for a listenable, "swinging" rhythm section to give a unique flavor and feel to his lyrics and melody. Open to a rhythm sound that ranges between rockabilly/early rock and alt. rock. One exmample might be Robert Plant's and Allison Krause's "Gone, Gone, Gone," but doesn't have to be exactly that. Ben says, "In my head I hear a nice flowing, mid-tempo rhythm with an emphasis on toms and swinging, rolling bass lines." Prefer to work with musicians who are in or near Aurora or at least the general Fox Valley region. In the meantime, Ben is also looking for a piano accompaniest and/or organist, female vocalist (both backing and lead), lead guitar, acoustic guitar (2nd in mix), and a cello player (cellist). Once the album is complete, those musicians who contributed session work will be welcome to form an area-to-regional touring act to promote the CD. Ben is a very accomplished and unique songwriter with two CDs to his credit and well over 100 songs written, some of which have received radio airplay. He has also played hundreds of gigs, both solo and with bands over the years. He is currently working with a local studio on basic tracks for seven songs.
