ABOUT

As a seasoned guitar player, I am looking to join a rock band for gigging and/or recording. I can play either rhythm or lead, have many years of experience playing and performing, and am searching for a band with musicians in the 50+ age range. My background is primarily instrumental surf music and alternative; however, I have played in bands in the past that featured rock music from the 50s, 60s, and 70s. My preference would be to contribute to and play original melodic vocal-based rock music, or at least unique versions of cover songs.

My own singing skills are pretty limited, although I can sometimes help with background vocals. I founded the instrumental surf rock band Splashback ( ://./splashbacksurfrock/ ), more recently played guitar in the alternative rock band Drifting Compass ( ://./driftingcompass/ ), and the surf rock band BroDaddy ( ://brodaddyband/ ). My equipment is professional, and use of guitar effects minimal; essentially, I use light analog echo and mild-to-medium overdrive to produce a full, rich tone.

My current band is no longer active, and I would like to expand my range of styles to again include rock vocals. I really like playing in front of people, and would hope to ultimately record and perform with a band that truly enjoys creating and playing good music. I strive to maintain a positive attitude focused on teamwork and goals of the band, and don't mind traveling for rehearsals or gigs.
