Influences

Phil Lesh (Grateful Dead), Lucas Harwood (King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard), Mike Gordon (Phish), Trevor Weekz (Goose), Noah Hill (Parcels), Ian Martin Allison (Scotts Bass Lessons), Jonathan Colman (Muscle Tough Band), Paul Mccartney (Iron Maiden), Joe Dart & Jaco when I'm feeling fast

I love jam bands! Grateful Dead, Phish, and Goose have to be my favorites but in the past few years, I've been getting into some other fun stuff. I really enjoy listening to and playing King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. I play in a band with a couple of guys who like garage rock, punk, and other heavier stuff as well as jam music so I've been having a lot of fun with that project!

EQUIPMENT

Basses: Guild Starfire ii, Nordstrand Acinonyx, Eko VPJ-280
Signal Chain
Instrument -> Empress Bass Compressor (always on) -> MXR Vintage Bass Octave -> EBS MicroBass 3 Preamp (used for OD and clean EQ, signal sent out FX loop send) -> Electro-Harmonix Bass Big Muff Pi -> Sushi Box FX Underground Accelerator Tube Preamp (always on) -> Dunlop Cry Baby Bass Mini Wah -> Electro-Harmonix Freeze -> HX Stomp (controlled by Pedalnetics FrontAux Dual Footswitch & Little Robbie Pilot Midi Controller) -> Boss SL-2 Slicer (in HX Stomp Stereo fx loop) -> Walrus Audio Canvas Stereo Dual Line Isolator D.I
HX Stomp Blocks I use most of the time as of now (Sept '23):
Ampeg SVT-4 Pro -> Envelope Filter -> Dual Cab Sims (1x10 Fender Princeton Cab w/Neumann® U67 mic & 8x10 Ampeg SVT w/Beyerdynamic® M88TG mic) -> Flanger -> Phaser -> Stereo Delay or FX Loop (Stereo Slicer) -> Stereo Chorus -> Stereo Reverb
Here's where things get really really weird. My apologies if I use any incorrect terminology.
If I'm playing a gig with a quality PA system:
L and R channels are sent to FOH from the Walrus DI via L&R XLR outputs
L and R channels are also sent back to the EBS Preamp fx return via L&R 1/4" outputs with an ICY cable -> the preamp sends a summed mono signal via 1/4" to a Fender Rumble 500 that is used purely for monitoring purposes
For full band practices and DIY gigs (still figuring out this setup):
L and R channels are sent to a NAD 2200 Stereo Power Amplifier via L&R 1/4" outputs -> the signal is sent to a pair of JBL TR225 Two-Way Loudspeakers 2x15
