I'm a vocalist that has been singing and playing for over 20 years. I grew up on Big Band and American Standards, and consider it a major influence in both my vocal style and my passion for singing and music. Being a former trombone player, I studied Music through college as a Music major with a minor in voice. I have an excellent voice which favors Jazz/Big Band style. I chalk it up to countless years of being surrounded by American Standards and the like.
I have had a passion for a long time of standing in front of a Big Band, singing Sinatra with the horns and percussion behind me. I am activly looking at starting a Big Band/Swing Band in the CT/NY area. Currently looking for all instrumentation (Saxes, trumpets, trombones, guitar, piano, bass, etc.), I own charts already and have no problem obtaining more. Ideally would like to play out at weddings and events, venues, etc. Would also be interested in writing originals.
While trying to build this project from the ground up, I'm also looking to join a pre-existing Big Band/Swing Band in the area as a male vocalist. Please contact me regarding either opportunity.

Too many to list.... however a few that come to mind are Frank Sinatra, Glenn Miller, Count Basie, Michael Buble, Melody Gardot, Diana Krall, Tommy Dorsey, Tony Bennet, Dean Martin, Perry Como, etc.
