Hey, my name is Chris. I'm looking to put together a band to play some original songs I have written. I need a lead guitar, bass, and drummer, able to sing harmonies is helpful. I am 26 years old so I would prefer people around this age or younger or older or whatever who are looking to commit to practicing and putting together some performable songs.
I would love to get some more musicians input and see if we can create a nice big rounded sound. Right now the songs are just acoustic and the singing could be much more dynamic and interesting. I feel as though I need to create the feeling of the song and it is hard to do alone on acoustic. These songs are at their beginning stages but I want them to become bigger and more. Some of the songs above are ones that I have played all the tracks too and the songs are "done." Even those I am open to reworking.
Though I enjoy the classics and my style and writing is greatly influenced by it, I do enjoy a modern even "pop" at times feel to it. I have always had a soft spot for the hits. If you can take a song with lyrics that mean something to you and add good music to it while still making it catchy, that's where I'd like to be.
I will be traveling this year so I am looking to semi-seriously try and work some things out, flesh some things out and maybe get a feel for the musical community in the area before I leave and come back. If you want to jam. Let me know.

Influences

Killers, The Band, Top 40, The Boss, Jim Croce, Recently getting into latin rhythms, as a drummer first, Zeppelin and Bonham influenced me a lot. Cards on the table, when I was like 10, Spice Girls. Green Day, Some metal (I respect the playing ability). I can appreciate foreign rhythms and styles but I also like to get down to a good 'Caravan' by Van the Man.
I want a band that is down to experiment with big sounds, pop friendly while still being solid lyrically and musically.
