ABOUT

KayJay is an up incoming musician out of Harrisburg Pennsylvania. Born in Columbus Ohio and raised in Baltimore Maryland spent most of his life around musicians and different artist. KayJay has been playing trombone and other brass and percussion instruments consistently for the past nine years and is now seeking to be heard by the world. He comes from a family of singers, writers, musicians and producers which all inspired him to take this journey of music. He has a strong church background and ever since the day he was born he grew up watching brass bands and other trombone players play from all across the U.S. in his church. His father Keith Sr is a master musician. Playing over a dozen instruments since the age of 4 has passed on his gift to his son KayJay. KayJay may be just Twenty Three years of age and only has a decade of experience with the trombone and music composition, but yet still listeners that hear him are deceived and amazed by his smooth and soothing jazzy tone, and his vibrate rhythm and licks that are played threw the trombone. His range of creativity is very broad and abstract. His soulful but yet jazzy approach to music has touch hundreds of people that have heard him and seen him play live. His style, method and vision of music allows him to play just about any type of genre of music from blues, jazz, traditional and contemporary gospel, rhythm and blues, Latin, funk, neo soul, rock, hip hop, classical and much more. The possibilities are endless for this young man and his music career. Right now he is an independent artist that is working on his first solo album out of the dark. The title out of the dark has multiple meanings. KayJay as an artist already has been threw a lot and still continues to press on threw trials and tribulations. That is what the title means. Coming out of your troubles and situations to better yourself as an individual. It also means a new beginning. KayJay is an up incoming musician.
