ABOUT

Don't let the grey hair fool ya', age is just a number! No number can overtake the spirit and love of playing music.

I am an ol' school guitarist originally from Northern California. I started playing guitar in '65 and started playing night clubs in '68. My personal preference is smooth jazz, but I PLAY Funk, R&B and Blues. I can also play rock, can play with a little country flavor and play gospel. YES, GOSPEL. My early influence was the Memphis STAX sound and got into Wes Montgomery and Howard Roberts around the same time. I was later greatly influenced by Eric Gale, Larry Carlton and Lee Ritenour.

After being in Atlanta 17 years, I found myself looking for an established group to play with. Gigs have been few and far between. I was looking to join an ESTABLISHED band, not start one from the ground up. I'm at the point of my life where I no longer try to make my dreams a reality, I now try to make my reality a dream. I was leader of groups and carried the task of being their road manager and had the task of setting up and running sound & lights from the stage. I've worked with booking agents, club owners, beverage managers, casino managers, pit bosses and other band managers as well. I have been around the block... BEEN THERE, DONE THAT!

I started playing, professionally, in clubs on the `chittlin' circuit' back in 1968. I have worked with and shared the stage with many big name performers. I've paid my dues playing 5/6 nights a week playing in Top 40 bands up and down the West Coast and playing the Silver Circuit(Las Vegas/Reno/Sparks/Laughlin/Elko/Fallon). I just love to play, it never goes away.

I am also a solo guitarist providing background music for private events when my schedule permits. I have provided music for numerous public events, corporate cocktail hours, wine/cocktail events and private parties in the Northern California wine country. I have had the honor of playing events at elite Atlanta hotels, local colleges and art galleries. I am available to provide music for any upcoming event(s) that your organization might be planning.
