I've been playing drums pretty much my whole life. Now I'm retired and looking for more playing time. I've played mostly in cover bands but have been in a few original bands too. I tend to gravitate toward pretty straight ahead classic rock or heavier rock - think Clapton, SRV, Sabbath, Zeppelin, Aerosmith, ZZ Top, Robin Trower, Buddy Guy, Hendrix, Eric Gales, Lance Lopez, Los Lobos, Guns and Roses. I also like country/rock bands like Blackberry Smoke, Cadillac Three, JJ Gray and Mofro, etc. I dream of playing in a funk band like Dumstaphunk..... I gravitate towards the power trio blues-rock format with a heavier guitar based sound or a larger band with multiple guitars, bass, keys and solid vocals.
I'm looking for a gigging band based in the Seattle Area. Bottom line is that I'm doing this for fun! I'm looking for good musicians that can get along both as musicians and as friends.
