Channeling Owen is looking for a string player (violin or cello--we have worked with both), bass player and percussionist. From '98-2003 Channeling Owen was a successful Manhattan-based indie rock band playing at top local clubs, with spins on hundreds of college stations, features in magazines, etc. The band is not a professional venture now but we remain serious about making good music and working with like-minded artists who are cool and sincere. This is a strong songwriting band and we good musicians to bring it together again. We will rehearse perhaps twice a month in Brooklyn (near Carroll gardens) or lower Manhattan and do a local set every month or two just for the sake of music. This is not a paying gig for mercenaries--but for members who want to keep playing.
