ABOUT

The Quarantined is a Hard Rock/Rap/Grunge band from Los Angeles, CA. Started in 2010 by lead singer/guitarist, Sean Martin, The Quarantined are one of the best new acts in 2013. Mixing a wide range of musical genres like Hard rock, metal, rap, hip-hop, grunge, 90's rock, Classic rock, and reggae, they truely are masters of a new sound that is putting them high on the local charts. With their high energy song from their new EP, "Where did you go? (Karma's a Bitch)" that chronicles the pain of getting ostracized from your family, to the Rage Against the Machine inspired, hard-hitting, controversial Rap/metal song "Feeding you lies" about news organizations like Fox News that blatantly lied to the public about the War in Iraq; to their tasteful and thought provoking rock ballad about a serial killer on his deathbed entitled "Ballad of a Dead Man". This haunting song covers a vast emotional spectrum and also encompasses an original musical pallet, gathering influences from Alice in Chains, Metallica, Led Zeppelin, and Seether.

Sean Martin--Lead Vocals/Guitar-- 26 yrs. old, currently the acting manager, primary songwriter and producer. Graduated with A.A. from MI in Guitar Performance/Independent Artist studies and Audio Engineering certificate, founding member.

Dominic Mcfadden--Guitar-- 19 yrs. old, current guitar student at MI. Has been playing in bands in Minnesota since 12 years old. well versed in multiple styles, very accomplished and dedicated guitarist.

Kaspars Grinbergs---Drums--- Studied at MI for drums, completed just over a year of studies. has toured in Eastern Europe. VERY versatile drummer, loves metal. extremely dedicated.

Qualites we are looking for in a new bassist:
-- 20-30 years old
-- No hard drug use
-- Focus on teamwork
--knowledge of your instrument. Scales, arpeggios, chords, modes, bass techniques from multiple styles and genres
--working knowledge of the local music scene
--working knowledge of the music business
--Improvisational skills
-- Willingness to tour regionally ( Arizona, Oregon, Nevada and california)
--Willingness to take on current bass riffs and adapt them to make them your own.
--Willingness to take direction
-- The overall focus is to make the band successful by achieving monetary gain, completing our objectives and goals and most importantly expressing ourselves artistically. This should be on the forefront of everyone's mind.
--Practice, practice, practice. Band Rehearsals are to see how the parts you have been working on fit with the rest of the bands parts, not to remember how that one song went.
