The Widgets perform multi-genre comedy music. What that means is we will play any and every genre under the sun if we can do it well, but all of our songs are comedic. Our current roster of songs ranges from hip hop to rock to country to reggae to blues to folk. As long as it is a catchy tune and we can write some funny words to go along with it, we will rock it as hard as we can in front of any and all who will listen.
The group started in Decatur in 2003 with just Worm and Cholbediah. It remained a two piece until 2011, when more members we added and band started playing live shows. First show was in October 2011. From first show, got booked for four more. Been asked back to every venue played. Now on to California for new chapter. Only the Cholbediah remains and ready to rock the west coast.
