I'm an experienced keyboard player (with good guitar, bass and vocal - baritone chops.)

I may be looking at either forming or connecting with an existing rock band in the near future.

I currently gig with a rock group and a jazz group, and with other situations as circumstances allow. Studied music theory and composition in college, retired from a corporate gig, now teaching piano P/T. Musical director, too many varied gigs to count, studio work, and substitute church organist. Pro Tools tracking and mixing.

Influences

I'm all over the place. I cut my teeth on 60s-80s rock and jazz. On any given day I might play originals, Beatles, Eagles, Tori Amos, Chick Corea, Allman Bros., Pat Metheny, Stevie Wonder, Peter Gabriel, Traffic, Steely Dan, Jobim, Clapton, Hendrix, Weather Report, originals, classical, lots more…any good music…you name it. (Except for Rap and Heavy Metal. Although…Zeppelin is fun)

For the moment, I'm just listing myself. I have possible bass, drums, vocalists, guitar, horn, percussion...but the right mix isn't there just yet. So don't be bashful.

I'm interested in dedicated musicians, interested in a GROUP sound - with everyone responsible for their own parts, willing to work toward a TOTAL band sound. Time is always tight, and group rehearsals shouldn't be wasted with people who don't do individual homework. You should know when to step forward and backward. You will shine, and so will everyone else. Ego is healthy, but must be well-checked. Prima donna free zone.
